Critical Parameter Management (CPM)
At its core is a comprehensive Critical Parameter Management (CPM) structure providing a complete tree building environment from Voices through Tests. Unique to Cockpit is its analytical engine allowing users to actively predict the behavior or requirements and parameters throughout the CPM tree. Connect transfer functions at any branch to calculate the Y=f(X) relationship between parameters and requirements. Right out of the box Cockpit gives you five ways to calculate transfer functions at any location in your CPM tree:

1.Direct entry of Target Values, Design Values, Process Values, and Test Values. Cockpit has an internal Root Sum Squared (RSS) engine to roll up your results and calculate the sensitivity and percent contribution of each contributor. Cockpit will also calculate process capability (Cpk), PNC, Z Score, and DPMO.

2.Type in a formulas into Cockpit to define a relationship between parameters. Cockpit includes a built in parser that recognizes many mathematical functions to help you write an equation describing a transfer function. As in the direct entry method above, the Cockpit calculation engine will calculate sensitivity, percent contribution, Cpk, PNC, Z Score, and DPMO. Cockpit will also perform Monte Carlo analysis on command.

3.Effortless integration with Microsoft Excel to use new or existing spreadsheets for defining transfer functions. This gives you instant access to all spreadsheet formulas and calculations in a dynamically updated, two way integration with Cockpit.

4.Crystal Ball integration giving you all the power for Monte Carlo and other Crystal Ball functions.

5.Matlab integration to let you define and launch scripts from Cockpit. This dynamically updated, two way integration opens up the full power of Matlab as a transfer function tool in Cockpit.
