When importing or creating a requirement in Cockpit you can choose to designate it as a Numeric type requirement. This requirement type is unique to Cognition Cockpit and it allows you to analyze and track the requirement with mathematics to monitor its "satisfaction." Requirement satisfaction is a statistical measurement of how the requirement is performing compared to its target value.

You can perform multiple analyses on any single requirement or group of requirements and track their progress towards meeting targets over time. This powerful capability in Cockpit gives the design team real time feedback on exactly how well requirements are trending compared to targets and lets you perform multiple "what if" studies to optimize requirements and specifications.
